How to reach Padua:

By car
  • Motorway Venezia - Milano (A4): go out at Padova Ovest (west).
  • Motorway Bologna- Padova (A13): go out at Padova Sud (south).
By train

Look at the timetible at website: www.trenitalia.it, trains are very frequent from Venice (about 30 min.) and from Verona (about 1 hour)

By airplane
  • VENEZIA. Marco Polo Airport , the closest (40 km). From here, you can reach Padova in these ways:
    • By taxi (shuttle bus):
    • By bus: SITA bus leaves every hour from 8.40 a.m. to 9.40 p.m. (but not so often on Sunday) from the airport to Padova Bus Station. It's the best way to arrive. It takes about 1 hour and costs about 5 euros!
    • By train: you can take a bus (ATVO navetta Flybus) or (ACTV) to go to Mestre railway station (every 10 or 20 minutes). You can also buy the tickets on board. Than take a train to Padova (direction Milano or Verona or Bologna. It costs about 4 euros, and you arrive in 20 minutes).
  • VERONA. Valerio Catullo Airport (Villafranca Veronese, 90 km). The AEROBUS leaves every 20 minutes from 6.35 a.m. to 11.35 pm to "Verona Porta Nuova" railway station (the bus costs about 6 euros and you can buy the ticket on board). From here, you can take the train to Padova (direction Venezia or Trieste and you arrive in about 60 minutes).
  • TREVISO. Canova Airport, 45 km, where all Ryanair and Transavia flights arrive (low cost companies). Just outside the airport there is the route to Padova with the bus stop. The bus to Padova leaves every 20 or 30 minutes.
